The Story of Bhamini

Bhamini zone is an important zone in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh which is located in the Palakonda Administration Division. The Vansadhara River flows through the Bhamini zone and the borders of the states of Orissa. According to the Indian Census, the total population is 41,058, of whom 16,024 are literate. Bhamini zone is located at a distance of 80 km from Srikakulam headquarters. Bhamini mandal consists of 76 villages and 22 panchayats.

Bhamini zone is the 5th least populated area in Srikakulam district. 57% of the total population are from common caste, 23% are from Scheduled Castes and 21% are from Scheduled Tribes.
