The people here are also demanding the construction of a bridge near the Amadalavalasa railway station and the reopening of the closed cooperative farmer's sugar factory. Thousands of workers were employed in this factory. Farmers here are angry that the government has handed over the factory rights to the Andhra Pradesh Industrial and Infrastructure Corporation (APICC).
