Hiramandalam town in Srikakulam district, sits on the banks of the Vamsadhara River and is a key center for one of North Andhra’s most important irrigation systems. The Vamsadhara Project, located around Hiramandalam, was planned to use Vamsadhara water for both farming and drinking.
