About Karate Kalyani:

Kalyani Padala or popularly Karate Kalyani was born on 31 October 1977 in Rapagaputtuda of Yadava community in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. Her father being a Dolak/Tabla player, she had culture and rhythm flowing in her veins.

Karate Kalyani moved to Vizianagaram where she completed her education. She grew up embracing art and with age, the love intensified. In her village, she would attend every festival and extend a hand in organising the events.

Her penchant towards acting took her a long way. Initially, she acted in Telugu serials. Gradually, movies were offered and she rose to popularity because of her fine acting skills. She has appeared in some of the superhit Telugu films, the most popular ones being Krishna, Mirapakay and Chatrapati. Her fame drove her to join the Telugu Big Boss house of season 4.

Karate Kalyani has a lot of credits to her name. Her vamp characters in some movies have earned her immense love and appreciation of the audience. By performing Harikatha (tale of Lord Hari or Vishnu) for 114 hours 45 minutes 55 seconds, she entered the Limca book of World Records. Moreover, she is the proud possessor of black belt in Karate and has won the National Gold medal for it in Goa, Bhubaneswar and Chandigarh.

Despite being an epitome of physical strength, she has mesmerized the audience with her feminine grace. She has an arsenal of skills and has fetched herself and her state glory from different skills.Srikakulam is proud to have her on its land.

After getting divorced from her first husband, she got married to Kasarla Shyam. Now they both have a son named as Chatan Sai Raman.

Karate Kalyani entered the Limca Book of Records by performing Harikatha (Story of Lord Hari) continuously 114 hours for 45 minutes and 55 seconds. She holds a black belt in karate. She got the National Gold Medal in Karate at Goa, Bhubaneswar and Chandigarh. She was awarded with Taekwondo.

Karate Kalyani Controversies:

Karate Kalyani participated in a debate on the casting couch phenomenon with Controversial actress Sri Reddy Mallidi. She did not support her because of her false allegations and assaulted her on live television. Karate Kalyani was arrested by the police in Jahangir Nagar Hyderabad while Gambling and cash worth 80,000 was seized from her.
